Seaton Bowling Club, one of Britain’s longest established bowling clubs, was affiliated in 1910. Friendly help, advice and encouragement will be found in plenty whenever you need it. Our new bowling green (a new green was laid in 2020) is in a beautiful setting by the Clock Tower overlooking Seaton beach and during the summer months we have bowls going on virtually everyday with 2 Club mornings.
Why Join us?
We are a friendly, active Club and play in ladies, men's and mixed leagues, plus internal Club competitions and Fun Days.
In the Summer there is bowls going on virtually every day with 2 Club mornings. We also host Friday night social triples, friendly games with local clubs, and visiting tours from all over Wales and Southern England coming to us.
For the seven months of winter there is Short Mat in the Clubhouse on 2 mats with leagues, friendlies, Club mornings and Club competitions.
The Club organises social events all through the year, and coffee mornings once a month. We have a large clubhouse with a well-stocked bar and kitchen for refreshments.
Coaching is available for new players.
Membership Fees
Full membership is via subscription at a cost of £30 PLUS:
Outdoor Bowls £110 for the season plus £3 match fee
Short Mat Bowls £50.
There are no roll up fees for Outdoor bowls members. Experienced and proficient bowlers new to the Club can become members immediately provided that they meet certain criteria required by the Club.
For new members joining part way through either playing season, the playing subscription can be reduced on a pro rata basis.
Junior membership subscription and match fee are set at the discretion of the Management Committee.
